Traditional Medicines Heat Reduction

Here are some traditional febrifuge options that can be tried. Important note, the doseslisted on the following formula is the dose for adults. If you want to be given to children,read the rules and adjust the dosage for children by age level. (See box: Dose Safe for Children.)

1. Lempuyang Emprit (Zingiber amaricans)
Compounds contain essential oils, namely sekuiterpenketon useful to reduce the heat.Commonly used are rimpangnya; yellowish white color and taste bitter.

2. Turmeric (Curcuma longa)

3. Sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata)
